Patients with Swallowing Difficulties

This literature review from Pharmacy in Practice summarizes the presence of swallowing difficulties in elderly patients. Nearly 60% of patients in the study experienced difficulties swallowing their prescribed tablets or capsules, and 69% of them said in a survey that they’ve skipped medications that are difficult to swallow.
